Why do I need to brush my dog?

January 4, 2017

Do I need to brush my dog in between visits to the Groomers?

Here at Solihull Dog Groomers we believe regular brushing at home between visits to the salon is very important for your dog  - it keeps your dogs coat clean and manageable, aerates the coat and ensures healthy growth and promotes good blood circulation. Brushing also allows you to do a quick health check to ensure your pet is in good health!

Most of the dogs who visit our salon live indoors and so moult quicker and more often than dogs that live outside. If your dog isn't brushed regularly the coat can become matted, causing soreness and skin complaints. It also makes grooming a matted dog quite distressing for the dog and the groomer!

Brushing your dog builds a close bond between dog and owner, the more you brush, the more your dog will enjoy it!  It's also very relaxing !
